Paula Modersohn-Becker Art Award 2018

Exhibition in the Große Kunstschau and in the Barkenhoff
November 17, 2018 to March 3, 2019

The Paula Modersohn-Becker Art Award will be awarded for the fifth time in 2018. The award of the district of Osterholz is aimed at professional artists with biographical references to the metropolitan region. A committee nominates artists for a joint group exhibition (Jury 2018: Meike Behm, Kunsthalle Lingen, Dr. Justin Hoffmann, Kunstverein Wolfsburg und Cony Theis, Hochschule Ottersberg). There again, a renowned nationwide jury awards the individual prizes (Jury 2018: Kathrin Becker, NBK Berlin, Roland Nachtigäller, Museum Marta Herford, Prof. Dr. Stephan Berg, Kunstmuseum Bonn).

The Paula Modersohn-Becker Art Award is intended to contribute to the further development of the art and artist scene in the area of the „Metropolitan Region Northwest“ and to strengthen the cultural identity of this region. At the same time, the prize pays special attention to the current artistic work in Worpswede and in the district of Osterholz.

The Art Award shows works from Karin Borchers, Nezaket Ekici, Magdalena Los, Liav Mizrahi, Christine Schulz, Alexander Steig, Tillmann Terbuyken, Fritz Laszlo Weber und Nehmzow.
